Q: Will cold weather or snow damage my vehicle wrap?
A: If you take proper care of your vehicle wrap, the simple answer is no. Snow and ice will not damage your vehicle wrap. Most adhesive vinyl used on vehicles are designed to hold up well to road salt. However, precautions should be taken.
Don’t scrape snow, ice, or salt off your car with ice scrapers or snow shovels — doing so could scratch your graphics. Carefully use a broom or a soft cloth to remove snow and ice. Treat the vinyl like you would paint. Don’t let salt accumulate on your vehicle. If it’s exposed to salt over a long period, damage could occur. Salt is extremely corrosive. Taking proper care of your vehicle wrap by removing salt, not only prolongs the life of the wrap, it will prolong the life of your vehicle. Winter weather is nothing to fear when thinking about wrapping your vehicle!
